Terms of Service

Welcome to Sanekot AI. By using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sanekot AI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

Sanekot AI provides audio transcription services using artificial intelligence technology. The Service includes:

  • Audio file upload and transcription
  • Speaker diarization (identifying different speakers)
  • AI-generated summaries
  • Transcript editing and export
  • Credit-based billing system

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years of age
  • Provide accurate account information
  • Maintain the security of your credentials
  • Promptly notify us of unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activity under your account. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Credits and Payments

Credit System

The Service uses a credit-based system. Credits are consumed based on audio duration (approximately 1 credit per minute). Credit costs are deducted when you initiate a transcription.

Purchases

All purchases are final. Credits do not expire for active accounts. Subscription credits renew monthly and do not roll over unless specified in your plan.

Refunds

We offer refunds only in cases of technical failure that prevents successful transcription. Request refunds within 7 days of the issue by contacting support.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Transcribe audio without legal right (e.g., recordings made without consent where required by law)
  • Process content that is illegal, harmful, or abusive
  • Attempt to bypass security measures or access other users' data
  • Overload or interfere with the Service infrastructure
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Use automated tools to abuse the Service

6. Content Ownership

Your Content

You retain ownership of all audio files you upload and the resulting transcriptions. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service.

Our Content

All software, design, and documentation of the Service are our intellectual property or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our materials without permission.

AI Training

We do not use your content to train AI models. Your audio and transcriptions are processed only to fulfill your service requests.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

8. Accuracy and Limitations

AI transcription is not perfect. The Service provides transcriptions on an "as-is" basis. Accuracy depends on:

  • Audio quality and clarity
  • Background noise levels
  • Speaker accents and pronunciation
  • Technical vocabulary

The Service is not suitable for legal, medical, or other contexts where verbatim accuracy is critical. Always review transcriptions for important use cases.

9. Service Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service may be unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance
  • Emergency repairs
  • Third-party provider issues
  • Circumstances beyond our control

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SANEKOT AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Damages exceeding amounts paid to us in the past 12 months

This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory and even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sanekot AI, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Content you upload or process through the Service

13. Account Termination

By You

You may close your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Upon closure, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or remain inactive for extended periods. We will provide notice where reasonably possible.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the Republic of Lithuania, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Dispute Resolution

We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any disputes. Formal disputes will be resolved through arbitration or the courts of Lithuania, at our election.

16. Miscellaneous

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Sanekot AI.
  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition.
